Well today ashwin rang me up b4 i even got up today *glares* and i decided to go along with him to bum around in the city. I got ready in a hurry and walked to the station. YES thats rite sting, andrew and others, i walked to the station and missed my train cos there was a long line for tickets.... I had to wait for like another 1/2 hour at the station before a train came. When i got to central ashwin was already there bouncing against the walls and showed me some of the random stuff he did while he was waiting for me to come eg, stalking pidgeons and talking with buskers. We then went off in a direction to find something to do. I suggested to go to town hall so we walked around aimlessly trying to find out how to get there. On the way, we went into this sony store at world square and we played the buzz game with this little asian kid and ashwin won....When we finally got to george st,  i decided to give him his asian-ness for the day and we went to galaxy world and played pool, air hockey and time crisis...which he wasted 3x more money than me cos he kept dying lol. After giving him his dose of asian-ness, we decided to go to the cinemas to see what was on. I convinced him to watch scary movie 4 but we had to eat and stuff so we waited till the next session. We then found this "secret" hardcore rock music store that was a secret emo hideout and we had to leave our bags at the counter before we looked around. The store was actually quite good because there were heaps of records, which i had barely ever seen anyone and we browsed through all the records, cds, posters, merchandise (emo clothes). We left without buying anything and had a quick lunch at maccas before wasting some more time at QVB at the richass stores eg, ralph lauren, looking at how expensive the little stuff like ties, belts and socks cost. We finally went to the movies and watched scary movie 4 which was actually quite funny, especially at the end. After that we decided to go to ashwins house and so we walked to hyde park and caught a bus to his house. We then walked past his church and said hi to someone in his church called fred (I think). After reaching his very "clean house" we bummed around there for a while before walking to maroubra beach. Ashwin told me he knew this shortcut and i advised him that shortcuts never end up being shorter and what do you know, we go on a shortcut that wasnt his shortcut before losing the next part of the shortcut and decided to jus walk down the normal way. On the way, we had a stare down with this really little like 10 year old kid who had a scooter. Basically when we got there it was freezing and we watched this hardcore more little kid skateboard in the skate park, which he did pretty well. It was getting late by then so i had to leave and i caught a bus back to central and then took a train back home. Things learnt in this outing are that there is this cool shop called "utopia records" in George st below the cinemas and that shortcuts never end up being shorter than the normal way.
